As my core business evolved over time, my clients clearly had other significant planning needs in addition to their needs regarding the uses of life insurance. In wanting to assist them with some of these other planning needs, but not wanting to try to be “all things to all people”, I formed strategic partnerships. My alignment with these partners very thoughtfully evolved over a period of time. My clients have appreciated my referring them to these partners (described below). Like me, they have earned the trust and confidence of my clients for the thoughtful honest planning solutions they have implemented.
First, I created a partnership with an excellent Health Insurance Advisory firm to assist my business owner clients with the very important management of their company’s employee health insurance program. I have known the owner of this company for 30 years. He and his staff of 40 people advise and assist over 400 businesses ranging in size from 50 to more than 5,000 employees. The firm enjoys a reputation as one of the leading firms of its type in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Second, I created a partnership with an excellent Retirement Planning firm to advise and assist my business clients with Qualified Retirement Plans (401k, Profit Sharing and Pension Plans). I have known the owner of the firm for 25 years, and his firm is also very highly regarded in our region.
Third, I created a partnership with a Financial Planning/Money Management firm. I work closely with two of the founding partners. Pleased with the excellent job they were doing for me personally in managing my money, I began 10 years ago introducing them to my clients. As of 2014, the firm is managing more than $2 Billion for a wide range of clients.
Fourth, six years ago I created a partnership with the president of a leading Property and Casualty Insurance firm to assist my clients with this important planning area.
